For die-hard Mobb Deep fans, it really doesn't matter if the Mobb are signed to G-Unit Records or Sugar Hill Records, as long as Havoc and Prodigy maintain their grisly sound and fast-lane-living-inspired lyrics on their next project, Blood

So when word got out that the Mobb were not following their usual MO of artist autonomy, and that they were letting their new label's CEO, 50 Cent, have a huge hand in determining the direction of their new album, some were questioning if Hav and P. would be the same.

Nothing major was moving me this week, until Wednesday night that is. Wednesday night, I was one of the members of online press that was invited to G-Unit offices in New York City for an exclusive Mobb Deep Blood Money listening session. Now, honestly speaking, when the M-O-B-B officially signed to G-Unit, I loved the move for its financial prospects. Without a doubt, the Infamous have paid their dues in hip-hop and I thought it was about time that they potentially cash in on their biggest pay day and move the most units of their career.

February 10, 2006 - Since they emerged from Juvenile Hell back in 1993 the duo of Havoc and Prodigy (collectively known as Mobb Deep) have established themselves as one of the most infamous of all rap tag-team outfits.

Recently signed to 50 Cents ever-growing G-Unit posse, Hav and Prod will be dropping a new album, Blood Money, in a bit.

For the moment you can enjoy the turgid chug of their latest single, "Put 'Emn In Their Place."

50 CENT GIVES MOBB DEEP PORSCHE PRESENTS

Generous rap mogul 50 CENT made his new G-UNIT recruits MOBB DEEP gifts of Porsches as a signing bonus.

The IN DA CLUB rapper picked up the New York duo, HAVOC and PRODIGY, a week after they were dropped by Jive Records.

Mobb Deep already have an album planned for their new label, which they hope to release next month (MAR06).

The project, titled BLOOD MONEY, features a sample of the KNIGHT RIDER theme and guest production from DR DRE. 50 Cent also provides a rap on one of the album tracks.
